WHAT'S FUN?
   BOOKS, SONGS, STORIES, PIX

Check out "A Good, Good Day," a jolly poem celebrating things to do on a good, good day--and a good night, too, in Ladybug, April 2024.

You can now hear one of my stories,
"Kotoshi the Dragon Doctor," read aloud by storyteller Robert Topp:
https://readmeastoryink.com/stories/kotoshi-the-dragon-doctor/

"Kotoshi the Dragon Doctor,"
read by Robert Topp,
is also now a podcast.

One of my favorite stories,
"The Salted Mushroom" --
set in 15th century China, featuring a selfish and super rich salt merchant who tries to buy immortality --
was posted April 2024 on
Read Me a Story:

And coming soon,
a new story
in Cricket:
"For the Love of Birds,"
  another original tale
set in old China,
date TBA

It’s  T I M E for a H U G  everywhere!
Mim Green
, my mom and collaborator, would have been thrilled to know that lots of people all over the world are hugging
to the words of our book,

not just in the U.S., but anywhere people speak
 Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese!

Hug-JapanHug-KoreaHug-Chinese

Mim was a great believer in hugs––and in language, books, and reading:
giant steps toward the better world she always envisioned.

TRANSLATIONS

Publishing a book is a joyful experience, even more so when
it travels to other countries, translated into other languages.
Along with TIME FOR A HUG and TIME FOR A BATH,
WHEN IT STARTS TO SNOW, illustrated by the late French artist,
Martin Matje, made new friends in Japanese and French translations.

In 2015, MOON ROOSTER came out in a bilingual edition (English and Spanish), illustrated by popular Cuban artist, Ángel Velazco.

Moon Rooster

Over the years, LISTEN, LISTEN, illustrated by Alison Jay,
has been published in  Estonian, Spanish, Catalan, Swedish,
and pictured here, Norwegian, Korean, Finnish, and German:
